7/3/08 - Orinda, California

We got up, had breakfast and drove back to Mt. Tallac Brewing to leave Jeff a bottle of St. Arnold Elissa to try. Then we went to take a look at the lake and take a few pictures. (Gas today was $4.69 per gallon at every gas station in town.) We drove to Orinda to visit David and Lorna Neill for a few days. On the way there we stopped at 3 micro breweries. Jack Russell Brewing in Camino, Gold Hill Brewing on the outskirts of Placerville (this one was a winery also) and Placerville Brewing. We took a picture of the California State Capital in Sacramento. We stopped for gas in Vacaville and there was a BBQ restaurant that advertised "East Texas Style" BBQ. I asked the man outside at the grill, "Where in East Texas"? He said, "Tyler". I told him my husband was from Tyler and he made us come in and Jim signed his brick wall. There were other names from Tyler and the surrounding area. He asked Jim where he went to school and chatted a while. We finally made it to Orinda and parked the Casita in David and Lorna's driveway.
